Hi! I’m B, and I’m excited to share my experience in Taiwan with all of you! I’m from So-Cal but go to school in Michigan. I love visual and oral storytelling, photography, frogs, and watching bad reality TV/obscure YouTube documentaries. This past year I also wrote a self-ethnography in the form of a photo-poetry book! Outside of school, I run a small business (Eclectic Bee) and I create hand-made jewelry, clothes, and wearable oddities. I love experimental fashion, connecting to people, and travel— and I hope to merge these interests while in Taiwan to meet new people and discover cool places to shop/explore. Follow along on my journey!

Clarissa Ko
(she/her)
CET Taiwan
Clark University
Class of 2025
Major: Management
Minor: Marketing and Entrepreneurship
Hi, it’s Clarissa here, born and raised in Massachusetts. Being an American Born Chinese my journey to become fluent in Chinese started with a hope to connect better with my non-English-speaking grandma. In the process, I found Chinese culture and language fascinating. Growing up my family instilled in me a love of traveling full of exploration and adventure, such as in Africa, Europe, and Asia. Just this summer, we conquered the summit of Mt Fuji! Aside from exploring I consider myself a foodie but more of a cup ramen chef. I genuinely believe that if you don’t take risks, you will always work for someone who does, thus I am an avid entrepreneur at heart. I can’t wait to share with you guys my ups, downs, and every moment in between throughout my journey in Taiwan!
