"I am working 10 hours a week for SASS (the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences), a prominent think-tank organization in China. As a Political Science major, I am considering a career as a researcher or policy analyst. At my internship, I am lucky to work directly with a researcher in their Urban Studies department. I am helping him prepare his research presentation for when he goes to England."

"As far as office life goes, mine has been very different than the other CET Prague students doing internships. Instead of a typical workplace, my office is in the local WeWork building, so there is a lot more space to do work other than Manifesto’s designated office. Working in the communal space of this building has allowed me to observe more of the Czech work culture."

"I’ve built robots, written sample code, translated documents, and helped create presentations, agendas, and schedules for robotics competitions. I even get to listen to product pitches and give feedback. One of my favorite responsibilities has been helping with internship advertisements and outreach. It’s a fantastic mix of tech, creativity, and communication."

"The challenges of this internship had much to do with the upfront research required to become literate in the realm of human rights watch and protection. I learned a lot from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR), and the International Covenant on Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights (ICESCR). These documents were crucial to my growth at the internship and in my academic growth in my field of study."
