A temple procession (神明遶境) by the Tamsui metro station. I walked past this procession with my old host family while we were getting lunch.

Teapot Mountain photographed at an outlook over Yinyang sea. I was told the buildings are related to a previous gold mine.

Golden Waterfall that was on the way to Jiufen. This spot is also close to Teapot Mountain.

A picture from the entrance to Jiufen old street. The street included many restaurants as well as shops.

A staircase further into Jiufen on the way to a teashop. The area has been used as a set for many movies, and one characteristic feature is the red lanterns that line the street.

At the teashop with my old host family. We took turns being responsible for brewing the tea. The tea snacks include dried plums, sweet potato chips, and sesame chips.

The view from a taro ball restaurant. There was a cat on a nearby staircase, and it was quite vocal.

I went to the Taipei Fine Arts Museum with a friend and went to a garden maze and a nearby café. We ordered cake in a cantaloupe and a fig dessert.

While walking around my neighborhood with one of my roommates at night, we saw this collection of lights.

My house took a roommate trip to the Taipei Fine Arts Museum during one of our lunch breaks and saw an art collection about Taiwanese art in the 1980s. We stopped to get lunch at the nearby Taipei Expo Farmer’s Market.
