Vienna, Austria
The St. Stephen’s Cathedral—what a sight! I’ve truly never witnessed anything like this in real life. This Church goes back to the 16th century, and pictures cannot even do it justice. I had the chance to see this stunning building in Vienna, Austria, as part of our first Traveling Seminar. I truly have seen the most marvelous sites courtesy of CET, and this one is no different. I’ve also learned about different styles of European buildings, and I can identify the interior of this as Gothic style.
Farmer’s Markets have become a big part of my life here in Europe. Every Saturday, Prague has these amazing farmer’s markets where you can get fresh produce. This farmers market is a part of Vienna’s Naschmarkt, a series of markets with over 120 stands.
Viennese Goulash! This was part of a group dinner sponsored by CET, and we typically have different group dinners based on where we are going. This traditional goulash consists of the most savory meat stew, topped off with Viennese sausage, a runny egg, and some acidic gherkins to balance it out. This was delicious.
Budapest, Hungary
Inside a residential area in Budapest, Hungary, where we traveled on our second traveling seminar. This city is honestly so beautiful, colorful, and peaceful and I loved the opportunity to travel the city thoroughly and explore.
One of the first meals I had in Budapest, and honestly, one of the best dishes of Pho I’ve had in my entire life. If you’re ever in Budapest, I highly recommend checking out Oriental Soup House.
This is the Hungarian Parliament Building. It is such a beautiful building, and we got an inside tour with the program and a chance to see the Holy Crown of Hungary, which dates back to the year 1000. On the right image, there is the Grand Staircase of the Hungarian Parliament, which once again is just such a beautiful sight.
This is the Széchenyi Lánchíd Bridge, which connects the different sides of Buda and Pest. It was such a gloomy day, but the bridge’s beauty stood out nonetheless. I also had the chance to visit Fisherman’s Bastion, which is one of the best tourist locations in Budapest, on the Buda side. It offers beautiful fairytale views, and I cannot recommend it enough.
