Catching the Train!
A photo of our train tickets to Wai’ao Beach. What an adventure just buying the tickets and finding our train! If you are ever in Taiwan and plan to go the beach, make sure you know how to buy tickets and where to go, and don’t do what my friend and I did, which was do everything with only an hour before departure. A very stressful and exciting time.
Turtle Island
The train is a great opportunity to enjoy the sights Taiwan has to offer. Also, due to construction and delays, sometimes the train would stop, and you get to enjoy the view during the delay. In this particular instance, I was had a wonderful view of Turtle Island. Can you also make out the turtle shape as well?
Black Sand Beaches
The sand at Wai’ao beach is black, which is beautiful however makes for a sizzling beach day when the sun is out. For some beach fun, renting a body board for 200-300 NT$ also gets you a beach table, chairs, and umbrella to use along with a free post beach shower. What a great deal!
Drunken Moon Lake
First day officially on campus! Near the CLD building is this beautiful lake, with all kinds of birds including the black swan above, some geese, and different species of ducks. A must see when on campus.
Impressionist
I am always impressed by the natural beauty of Taiwan, and National Taiwan University has many pockets of nature that are absolutely stunning.
Interesting Architecture
Had an amazing view of Tao Zhu Yin Yuan, while getting lunch with a friend.
Window Wonders
The creativity and design in Taiwan is amazing to gaze upon, and there’s always something new to marvel at as you go about your day.
Food Floor!
This was a fun floor exclusively for restaurants. The takeout box art really drove that idea home. So cute!
Anyone else love Studio Ghibli?
Inside the same mall, there is also a floor for toys, kids, and fun! This installation was amazing to see, and I had to share it.
Looking Up!
Always make sure to look up when traveling, the best design choices are on the ceiling! This Cloud and Lighting Design was dazzling.
