Visiting the beautiful Gifu Prefecture with CET students. Here is the Wada House, a traditional thatched roof house.Lunch at Chubee. We were having delicious Gifu prefecture’s local Hida beef with miso soup. The beef was cooked in Hoba leaf!Beautiful countryside view of Gifu Prefecture. Enjoying the good weather and the fresh air.Relaxing on the mountain and enjoying the view with CET students and roommates!Visiting Takayama Jin’ya, surviving Edo-period provincial government headquarters.Experiencing indigo dying workshop with CET students. Historically, indigo was a natural dye extracted from the leaves of certain plants. Everybody created their own patterns and was super fun.Visiting Nara prefecture with friends on a long weekend. Beautiful weather and nature.Making friends with deer in Nara where there are significant temples and artwork dating to the 8th century. Deer room in Nara park, site of Todai-ji temple.Kasuga Grand Shrine is a shinto shrine in the city of Nara, in Nara prefecture, Japan. The interior is famous for its beautiful bright color and bronze lanterns.Visiting Harvest hill with CET students. Making friends with capybaras. They are so cute!
