CET Prague:
Summer Internship

The Right Internship for You

When it’s a good fit, internships are learning experiences that help you grow professionally and academically—so we work hard to match you with an organization that will develop your skill set. Whether you want to focus on finance or dabble in digital marketing, Prague has something for you. And you’ll also have an accompanying internship course to provide you with the tools to take ownership of your experience.

Make the Most of Summer

Summers can go by in the blink of an eye—make yours count in the beautiful city of Prague. Your curriculum consists of your internship placement with its accompanying course and one elective in regional studies. By the time you head home, you’ll have a nuanced understanding of the Czech workplace, transferable academic credits, and international experience on your résumé. How’s that for a productive summer?

Prague: Perfect European City

Cobblestone streets, castles, and open-air markets. Trams that make exploring Prague a breeze. Cutting-edge arts. Multinational business centers. Trendy restaurants and cozy cafés. The historic location of countless political and intellectual movements—from the Reformation to the Velvet Revolution. What will you love most about Prague?

Living in Prague

Relax in one of the city’s many parks after work. Spot Prague Castle and Charles Bridge on your picture-worthy commute to class. Go for a joyride on a tram, and then take in some of the local art scene. Or try taking in the city views from a paddle boat on the river. Then meet up with friends at your neighborhood lahůdky (delicatessen) for dinner. There are a lot of winding streets to explore—what will you love most about Prague?

Downtown CET Center

You’ll take your classes at our brand new CET Center in the heart of Prague. It’s easily accessible by public transportation, and the surrounding neighborhood is filled with countless restaurants, cafés, museums, and stores. You’re welcome to study or hang out with classmates, hop on the wifi, or even just chat with staff.

Housing, Meals, & Transportation

You’ll share a spacious apartment with CET peers. Apartments are fully furnished, centrally located, and wifi equipped. For meals, take your pick of local restaurants and eateries, or cook for yourself in your apartment kitchen.

Buses, metros, and trams in Prague are clean, frequent, and timely. And we provide you a transportation pass so you can explore the city and never have to worry about cost.

Why Intern?

When you intern abroad, you gain the know-how to take an opportunity and turn it into a learning experience. You’ll tell us about your skills, interests, and desired field, then onsite staff matches you to the needs of a local organization. And though your daily tasks and projects are determined by your workplace, the Internship: Bridging Theory & Practice course provides you with theory, historical context, and group discussions to better inform your on-the-job contributions. We give you the tools, and you put them into play.

Leave home for the summer and come back with a new favorite city, substantive internship experience on your résumé, and the tools to take charge of whatever is up next for you.

Prague boasts a flourishing commercial sector and one of Europe’s fastest-growing free economies—it’s no wonder this program offers a wide variety of internship placements.
