I am obsessed with Taiwanese local foods. Food stands are everywhere and SO cheap. This bowl of wanton noodle soup was about 2 dollars.

I joined a language table organized by POLYGLOT. There were tables for Japanese, Chinese, and English speakers. Unfortunately, the Chinese table was small because it was mostly for Taiwanese who wanted to learn a foreign language, but it was a lot of fun communicating with the local people.

The view from Jiufen. It was luckily a clear day, so I was able to see far into the distance. The whole area had a mysterious atmosphere, like in the Ghibli movie Spirited Away.

We could finally start in-person class at Taiwan National University last week. This is a picture from school dining hall. It is buffet style and the price is determined by weight. I was having a hard time finding vegetables in Taiwan, but here I can get a lot at a reasonable price.

This is my class during break. The inside of the building is similar to schools in Japan which made me feel nostalgic.

I have an internship with the Canadian Chamber of Commerce and this was our signature event celebrating Canada’s National Day. It was a much bigger event than I was expected and I felt so grateful to be part of the team.

National Palace Museum. It was a huge building and took me quite a lot of time to finish seeing all of the exhibits. I was a little bit sad that it didn’t have enough English translations of the exhibits to fully understand them.

Taiwan Design Museum in 誠品生活松菸店. This space is used for various exhibitions for a limited period of time. I was able to learn about how Taiwanese brands are developing their products while considering environmental issues.

Baseball game in Taiwan! It was very similar to the Japanese one compared to the American one. We all danced along with the cheerleaders.

红毛城 in 淡水. It was built by the Spanish in the early 17th century and later used as a British consulate.

Sunset from 淡水. 淡水 is about one hour by subway. We could rent a bike and cycled around along with this amazing view.
