Applications & Admissions
Students applying to a CET program can start an application by clicking the “Apply Now” button on the page of their selected program. The Applying section of our website contains information about standard application requirements, admissions timelines, and application deadlines.
Study Abroad Office Recommendation Form
All students submit a Study Abroad Recommendation Form as part of their CET application. After starting a CET application, students submit a request with the appropriate advisor name and email address. You receive an automated email with two ways to complete the recommendation:
- Submit recommendations as they reach you using the link provided.
- Recommended for advisors with few CET students
- Use student last name and code provided
- Create a permanent login to view all pending and submitted requests.
- Recommended for advisors with many CET students
- Have the ability to login and see all of your students in one place
The form asks two questions:
- Is this student in good academic standing at your institution?
- Is this student in good disciplinary standing (or will they be by the term they’re planning to be abroad)?
The form also provides space for optional notes.
If the student sends the request to the wrong advisory, simply contact CET. We can fix it.
Want more information? Watch this video summary of the process or use this step-by-step PDF for even more detail.
Program Fees & Dates
We publish comprehensive lists of program dates and fees for advisors. Budget Sheets for each program may be found on program pages in the “Program Fees” section. We aim to update this information for the next calendar year by August 15.
CET Student Services Team
After starting an application, students are connected to a Student Services Coordinator assigned to their program of interest. Student Services Coordinators advise students on application requirements, visas, accommodations abroad, housing, and other pre-departure matters.
Need to know about applicants from your institution? Contact your Campus Relations Manager. CRMs are able to provide information about applicants from your institution, pre-departure resources, and answer specific questions about student needs or issues.
Scholarships & Finances
Scholarships
CET is proud to offer $400,000 in scholarships each year. All CET students are invited to apply for CET Scholarship funding. See our Scholarships page for a full list of available scholarships, application details, and award amounts.
CET posts any CET scholarship awarded to the student’s final invoice. If a student pays CET directly for any part of the program fee, they will see awarded scholarships deducted from their final payment amount. If your institution pays the entire program fee to CET, you will see deductions of scholarships on the invoice sent by CET so that you may pass these awards along to the students.
We also notify advisors of CET scholarship recipients from your institution each term. Please contact your Campus Relations Manager if you have questions about scholarship recipients from your institution.
Billing Options
CET is happy to work with your institution to invoice according to your policies and preferences. We distribute an Annual Partner Survey each fall to ask about billing preferences, points of contact, and scholarship distribution practices for each institution. The responses from this survey are held in our internal, secure database and are used to advise students and ensure we are up-to-date on your policies and procedures. Have a unique case or student with different financial needs? Please contact us. We are happy to work with you to find creative solutions to these special cases.
