Study abroad programs for college and gap students

Our Programs

CET operates programs around the world and online for students of all ages. We are legally registered and fully compliant in every location. Full-time, bilingual on-site staff are employed at each site to provide stability and consistency to our programs as well as 24/7 emergency support.  

Why We Go Where We Go

We prefer the paths less traveled.

We think that unexpected, less-touristy destinations are best for study abroad. And when we do operate in world capitals, our focus on immersion and integration offers students entrée into dimensions of the city not accessible to casual visitors.

We pride ourselves on language teaching.

It was intensive language programming in China that started us on our journey in 1982. Over and over, we’ve seen how students who achieve high levels of language proficiency also gain important cultural skills. This insight keeps us gravitating towards locations where English is not the first language.

Our parent organization opens doors.

Thanks to our relationship with Academic Travel Abroad, we have the resources to go pretty much anywhere around the globe. In addition to our semester programs, we operate short-term, customized partner programs that do just that.

CET Jordan: Academic Consultation Board

Over the years, we’ve built a strong network of locally-based faculty that we’re proud to call our peers. These faculty make up our Academic Consultation Board—a select group of local voices and thought leaders that help advise and shape components of the CET Jordan program. 

Board members support the program in many ways, including but not limited to:

  • Leveraging topical expertise to help develop courses, including field-based components.
  • Teaching courses or guest lectures for CET Jordan and custom programs
  • Recommending and providing academic resources for research
