CET Journeys: Custom Short-Term Study Abroad Programs

Sunset over the Great Wall

What are CET Journeys?

CET Journeys, a division of CET Academic Programs, helps study abroad staff and faculty develop and administer short-term study abroad programs for groups of students at their institutions.

Short-term programs offer great educational value. However, they also require tremendous time and energy to organize. With CET Journeys’ extensive staffing resources and longstanding experience administering programs, you can offer your students a quality program without over-taxing your resources.

Services and Locations

CET Journeys can create any kind of program to suit the particular needs of your students. Do you need a faculty-led trip with courses taught by your university’s professors? Do you need a residential program that utilizes a CET center for academics and accommodations? Do you want to design a traveling program that visits several locations? CET staff can start with a location and arrange the entire Journey, or we can simply provide logistical support to your academic plan.

You provide the vision. CET provides the resources.

When: When Can CET Operate Journeys?

Testimonials

Here’s what some of our partners have to say about us. Need another referral? Contact CET.

“Everything worked quite smoothly in terms of logistics. The artistic and educational experiences were superb. There is very little that I would change. We are deeply thankful for the details that were worked out and implemented through CET Academic Programs – all of the planning in the US and all of the details and implementation while we were in Prague.Dr. Gail Humphries Mardirosian, Associate Professor of Performing Arts at American University
“CET is an ideal partner for Carleton’s off-campus study seminars—focused on academic rigor and innovation, CET provides just the right balance of organization, attention to details and concern for health, safety and wellbeing of students, without overbearing bureaucratic procedures. CET staff in the United States and abroad work closely together, offering a wealth of expertise and experience, in addition to being practical, flexible and tirelessly creative.”Helena Kaufman, Director of Off-Campus Studies at Carleton College
“Post-program student evaluations strongly suggest that the 2009 Vietnam program was highly successful in exposing our students to the kind of transformative experience that is a primary goal of international education.”Mark Jones, Associate Professor of Art at Hobart and William Smith Colleges
“The Resident Director did a remarkable job of coordinating the itinerary, making changes when necessary, keeping the students and faculty informed of additions and subtractions, and routinely made an extra effort to ensure the success of the program… If we could have the same level of attention to detail on the next trip, I would be more than satisfied.”Tracy Dahlby, Director of the School of Journalism at University of Texas-Austin
“Working with CET in Florence has been one of the easiest collaborations I’ve ever had. CET provided excellent facilities and a warm, welcoming and efficient staff. The students were very well cared for and any students’ issues were resolved quickly and happily. I am looking forward to working together again. It is a pleasure.”Lawrence Schell, Professor of Anthropology at SUNY Albany
I cannot imagine a tour better integrated with the texts, presentations, and discussions that the students encountered during the classroom portion of the course. The students themselves have been lively and appreciative ALL the way along.Darra Mulderry, Assistant Professor of History at Providence College
