You’ll join just a few peers (maximum of 5!) in this intimate program designed for boundary-pushing new media artists.

Study at the Film and Television School of the Academy of Performing Arts, FAMU, one of Europe’s top art schools. FAMU not only has state-of-the-art facilities, but accomplished faculty who show you how to use them. Of the total program fee, $19,390 goes to tuition & fees, and $2,600 goes to housing and other related costs.

Out-of-Pocket Expenses

We estimate that you’ll need an additional $1,000-$1,500 for airfare and $1,800-$2,000 for meals. Students typically spend about $1,300-$1,500 on personal expenses, too.

What's Included

Excursions & Workshops

The excursions and workshops that we arrange are included in your tuition. All you need to do is get on the bus.

Funding for your Project

You’ll receive a generous budget for your final project. No crowd-sourcing necessary.


We arrange for you to live in a centrally located apartment with other CET students. Your program fees go toward rent, furnishing, and other management costs.

Visa Support

If you’re a US citizen, we process your standard visa in Washington, DC. If you’re an international student, you apply independently but we provide the documents you need and are here to answer questions along the way.

Transportation Pass

You’re provided with a transportation pass. Use public transportation to your heart’s content.

Course Materials & Transcript

Your textbooks and course supplies are covered by tuition and waiting for you in Prague. And we’ll send you an official transcript at the end of the term.

Medical Insurance

You’re provided with a comprehensive insurance plan that includes medical evacuation coverage.

From pre-departure to orientation, from on-site to re-entry, CET provides you with the support you need every step of the way.


Need money? CET offers over $300,000 in scholarship awards each year. You can apply for a CET scholarship, or learn about other sources of funding, like Diversity Abroad or the Fund for Education Abroad.

Application Requirements

CET’s admissions requirements include an online application form, a transcript, a portfolio, and one letter of recommendation. Our programs are designed for undergraduates who maintain an overall GPA of at least 3.0. Students from any US college or university are welcome to apply.


Previous academic experience in New Media, Transmedia or Intermedia is required. There is no Czech language prerequisite. Learn more about the application process.

What's Not Included

The program fee does not include round-trip transportation to & from the Czech Republic, meals, items & services of a personal nature, and medical expenses not covered by the insurance provided.

Price Subject to Change

CET reserves the right to increase quoted charges at any time without prior notification, based on increased instruction costs, exchange rate fluctuation or other cost increases beyond CET’s control. This right includes, but is not limited to, surcharging students for additional costs incurred due to under-enrollment in any given course.
