Prague in Black and White
Photos by Luke Meares, (Pomona College) Student Correspondent for CET Photography at FAMU, Fall 2019
My friends and I in Vinohrady, (in my opinion) the prettiest neighborhood in all of Prague.A view on the way to Vyšehrad, an old fort that usually is much less crowded than the Prague castle and offers just as good of views. The back of a stranger’s neck on the tram – always interesting people in Prague.Friends at our apartment playing a game of spoons (a good Czech beer is never out of sight).
The Flora Cemetery, a great place to take an early fall walk or a nude for your upcoming photo exhibit (both of which I have done). A secret view my friends and I found at Vyšehrad after hopping a wall – my favorite view in all of Prague! There was a set of fireworks left behind showing that there are probably some other ~cool Prague locals who know how great of a spot this is too.My friends Lily and Eliza after a night out in Old Town going to the gay bars. One of the many beautiful scenes you see every day in Prague. This one just so happens to be right next to Charles Bridge. A lady waits for the Tram in Prague 7, considered one of the “hipper” parts of Prague. I agree! A selfie (because this photo essay has absolutely not enough pictures of me in it!) at the Museum of Decorative Arts, during a class trip to see an exhibit about the Prague Spring and the Velvet Revolution.
