Photo Essay: UW in India

This is the Bangla Sahib Gurudwara, a Sikh temple in Delhi. We also ate lunch here. Volunteers come in everyday and cook lunch for hundreds of people. Anyone can come to the temple and eat lunch free of charge.


This is the Amer Fort in Jaipur. We spent a weekend in in Rajasthan. It was great to see a different part of India.


During our last weekend in India we all visited the Taj Mahal. It was amazing to see one of the seven wonders of the world.


Here is a photo of Fran, McKenna, and Chloe at the Jama Masjid in Delhi.


During our 5 days in Delhi we visited Dilli Haat Crafts Market. This is a traditional Indian bazaar and crafts market.


We also visited the Gandhi Smriti Memorial. This picture shows the final footsteps of Mahatma Gandhi and the place where he was shot.


This is a photo of the Qutb Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Delhi. This is the site of one of the oldest Mosques in India.


This is a photo of the Jama Masjid. While here we were able to see relics from the prophet Muhammad.


We visited the famous spice market in Delhi. It smelled amazing and so fresh!
