Welcome to the final blog! Time goes by so quickly when you’re learning and having fun! It’s been a real pleasure sharing this journey with all of you. I hope it was eye opening of the adventure that awaits you studying abroad while also giving you the true expectations of what to expect if you enroll in this program. There is a lot of work to complete here! For this last entry, I think it just makes the most sense that I share more of this journey with you.

Taiwan has a heavy influence of Japanese culture due to its storied past. Here are some more food pictures because there is so much to try and so little time!
If you end up doing the 鳳梨酥 (pineapple cake) language mission you can see this in person, a look at how old traditional weddings were conducted.
I hope you take the time to leave the city of Taipei as you get the chance! The whole country is worth seeing! Here is 高翔 (Gaoxiang). It is only a train ride away!
Here’s a picture of me taking part in some night market games. Night markets are a staple of this awesome culture as you recall from my first entry. And they are everywhere. This one was in Kending.
Here are some scenery pictures from Kending. A beach town I visited during my language mission break off school. Everyone does a language mission and it means you get a few days off of school. Take advantage of it and travel!
The journey is the most important thing. And I met so many awesome people and was reunited with others! Like my Taiwanese friend, I met in Seattle in this picture. The world can be small if you make it! Enjoy the journey!
Getting the chance to learn to make Pineapple Cake was awesome and so no matter how my grades turn out after this at least I can say I know how to make a pineapple cake now haha.
Here is one final food picture. Eat a lot, and have fun while you’re here! It makes the journey more fulfilling. Haha.
We all aren’t in this photo but if you’re open to new ideas, new challenges, new languages, and new experiences join this program and make a lot of new friends too. We all started as strangers and have the pleasure of having gotten to know each other as a small family. I hope some of you come out to this program you have as awesome of an experience as I did. It has again, been a lot of fun to make this for you. Best of luck where ever life takes you! Maybe Taiwan. ????
