CET Staff Working Remotely
All US-based CET staff are currently working from home. Over the past few years, CET has invested in technology that allows us to work effectively from anywhere in the world. Furthermore, our systems are secure and all cyber-security measures are in place. Our regular phone lines and extensions are forwarded to reach us wherever we are; you can find our direct extensions on our staff directory. You should notice no difference in reaching the CET staff you work with on a regular basis.
All summer programs abroad (college, gap, and pre-college) have been cancelled for 2020. Students who were committed to CET college and gap programs for the summer have the following options:
- Enroll in a virtual summer program from CET: Though we cannot offer summer programs abroad, we will offer three virtual intensive language and culture programs for students studying Arabic, Chinese, and Japanese. Find more information on the virtual programs and application details on our program pages. We are excited to use new platforms to bring CET’s high quality intensive language instruction to students while they are unable to travel.
- Defer to the fall semester: At this time, CET plans to operate fall programs as scheduled in all locations. Students may defer their summer application to the fall term without submitting any new application materials. CET continues to offer flexibility with deposits and program fee payment for all fall programs. See below for more details.
- Withdraw their summer application entirely: Students who withdraw their applications will receive any deposits or program fees already paid to CET back in full.
