Following a routine review, the US Department of State has renewed its Travel Advisory for China, adding new language to suggest that US citizens exercise increased caution due to “arbitrary enforcement of local laws.” China remains at a Level 2 Advisory, which is the same level as the UK, Germany, Denmark, and Brazil.
We are sharing this information with onsite students and their sending institutions, monitoring the news, and encouraging students to exercise caution. At this time we have no plans to postpone or cancel our Janterm and Spring 2019 programs, and they will begin operation as scheduled.
