Tunisia: Perfect for Study Abroad

Tunisia is beautiful—sandy beaches, white houses, blue doors. It’s exciting—the country is at the center of change in a transforming Arab world. It’s welcoming—Tunisians are comfortable with diversity and always up for a conversation. But even with all of this, Tunisia doesn’t get a lot of US study abroad traffic. And that makes it even better.

Study Arabic + Anything You Want

When we say you can study almost anything in Tunisia, we mean it. Your Arabic skills are guaranteed to soar with our intensive curriculum, but what else sparks your interest? French? Politics? Greek history? Judaism? At the heart of the Mediterranean, Tunisia is a academic jackpot, and we work with you individually to make sure this jackpot gives you any academic outlet you need.

We've Got Your Back

Venturing to a new country often means leaving your US support network behind. But we’ve got that covered. In Tunisia, you’ll find a local version of your network—a wonderful group of staff, teachers, and roommates—to help you acclimate and look out for your wellbeing. Best of all, that network functions in Arabic, so you get group support without the limits of a US bubble.

Staying Safe in North Africa

There’s no hiding the fact that North Africa is a volatile part of the world. But Tunisia is stable—we wouldn’t send students there if it weren’t.

The program is based in La Soukra, a secure section of the city. The campus, apartments, and all excursions are well monitored and protected. In addition, we watch the regional situation meticulously using every resource at our fingertips—local staff, contacts in the field, a wide array of news sources, and the US Department of State. We use this information to keep you, your parents, and your school informed on our News & Alerts page. And when warranted, we take prompt action, like program evacuation or relocation.
