Summer Study Abroad in Prague
for Student Athletes

You choose: study or intern in Prague

Select the program’s intern abroad track and you’ll work in a Czech company. Conduct sports marketing research or learn about hotel management. Your internship course provides an academic framework for your on-the-job learning. Select the study abroad track and your courses will show you all sides of Prague—from its thriving business sector to its stunning arts and rich history. Whatever track you choose, a Survival Czech class helps you explore the city independently.

Balance the student with the athlete

We know your sport is just as important to you as your academics. That’s why you have an athletic curriculum that compliments your coursework and internship. Our on-site Athletic Director coordinates conditioning sessions, tournaments, and cross-training specific to your sport. Beyond that, you experience the game through new eyes as you interact with players from the Czech Republic.

Prague: Perfect European City

Cobblestone streets, castles and open-air markets. Trams that make exploring Prague a breeze. Trains that put the rest of Europe within your grasp. Cutting-edge arts. Live music playing in idyllic parks. Home to the oldest university in Central Europe. What will you love most about Prague?

Your transcript will be jointly issued by CET and Charles University, Faculty of Humanities.

Global Players and CET

This program is a collaboration between two powerhouses in the field of study abroad, CET Academic Programs and Global Players. That means you get the best of the best. CET oversees academics, designs innovative excursions, arranges beautiful downtown apartments, and supports you as you acclimate to life in Prague. Global Players brings you comprehensive gym access, arranges fantastic opportunities for tournaments and games, and makes sure you have the conditioning and cross-training sessions you need.

Daily Life in Prague

Hike up to Prague Castle. Watch a musician play at a street fair. Photograph the stunning Charles Bridge at sunrise. (It’s worth the early alarm.) Hop on a train to Berlin for the weekend. Or stay in Prague and have dinner with friends for less than what you’d pay to see a movie in the United States. You will love living in Prague. Period.

The Downtown CET Center

You’ll attend your classes at the CET Center in the heart of Prague. The neighborhood is filled with restaurants, cafés, museums, movie theaters, and stores. The Center serves as the program hub. Use the wi-fi. Study in the small library. Chat with staff. Or just hang out on the couches with peers.

Housing & Meals

You’ll share a spacious apartment with other program participants. Apartments are wonderful—fully furnished, centrally located, and wifi equipped. A short commute gets you to the CET Center. Commuting is easy! Buses, metros and trams in Prague are clean, frequent and timely, and we provide you a transportation pass so you can explore all you want without worrying about costs. For meals, take your pick of local restaurants and eateries, or cook for yourself in your apartment kitchen.
