I am an International Studies major with a minor in Italian. I studied in Catania for two terms during the spring and summer of 2011. My favorite memory was spending my 21st birthday on top of Mount Etna.

I am a Bowdoin senior who loves to travel and just returned from a year abroad, where I studied in both Siena and Catania, Italy. I can now say I am fluent in Italian as well as proficient in Sicilian bargaining, a skill which I honed to perfection arguing with crusty Sicilian fishermen over fillets of swordfish in the markets of Catania.

I am a sophomore at Brandeis University double-majoring in Italian Studies and Hispanic Studies. I studied abroad this past summer with the CET Intensive Italian language program in Catania, Italy. One of my favorite memories from my time abroad was visiting the Fiera (Catania’s outdoor market), where I experienced all the sights, sounds and smells that characterized my summer in Sicily.
