Beijing, China: Is this study abroad program for you? This is a program for students who want to improve their Chinese, learn about China, and build their résumé, all in one semester. Students pursue an internship at a local organization such as China Central Television or Women’s Watch Legal Defense Center. They take Chinese language classes and electives taught in English. The program uses its longstanding guanxi (connections) to introduce students to prominent journalists, researchers and professionals in Beijing, a city of movers and shakers. The program is open to students of all Chinese language levels, even absolute beginners.
