The Aleppo program is suspended through 2013 because of political unrest in Syria. Instead, we encourage students to consider the Intensive Arabic Language & Culture Studies in Irbid, Jordan and Intensive Arabic Language & Culture Studies in Tunis, Tunisia programs.

Aleppo, Syria: Is this study abroad program for you? CET Syria students are committed to learning Arabic. They speak only Arabic during their time abroad. They return riding high on their new levels of fluency. Semester students also gain a foundation in Middle Eastern Studies through courses designed by American University’s School of International Service. This program is for serious, challenge-seeking students who have at least two terms of previous Arabic language study under their belt.
