Czech out our sweet home for the next four months! Peep the drying rack in the back bedroom (it’s going to be your best friend for the semester)!
On our first day off from orientation, our Czech Buddy, Tereza, took myself and my roommates to Náplavka Street Food Festival. There was no shortage of options as it was the biggest street food show in the Czech Republic!
After participating in a scavenger hunt around the city, the views were výborně on our boat tour provided by CET. Mini Crème brûlées were also much appreciated!
Joining the Jewish Studies students, we toured the Jewish Quarter of Prague. If you have the chance, visit the Old Jewish Cemetery: the largest Jewish cemetery in Europe and among the oldest surviving Jewish burial grounds in the world. It’s truly a powerful and profound experience.
I know waking up in the morning is hard for college students, but an 8am tour of Old Town is worth the power nap in the afternoon! No tourists just coffee shop owners putting out tables and workers helping to preserve the beauty of Prague’s intricate tiled walkways around the city.
Like art museums but you’re a broke college student? The National Gallery in Prague provides free admission to all their locations. Just remember to bring your FAMU student ID!
