CET Scholarship Awards
CET offers its students over $100,000 in scholarship awards each year. As a part of its commitment to Generation Study Abroad, CET makes every effort to provide substantive awards to deserving students. Decisions are based on both need and merit, and scholarship awards are intended to encourage study abroad by helping to alleviate financial burden.
The scholarship application process is simple. Each student automatically receives a scholarship application when applying for admission to a program. The application asks students to write a brief essay explaining why they are applying, and to report all other forms of aid they anticipate receiving. Admissions decisions are need-blind—CET reviews a student’s scholarship application only after reviewing the program application.
Diversity Abroad connects diverse students with international opportunities. The organization strives to ensure that students from all economic, educational, ethnic and social backgrounds are aware of and have equal access to the benefits afforded by global exchange.
CET and Diversity Abroad have teamed up to offer Diversity Scholarships in the amount of $1,500 ($1,000 tuition discount + $500 stipend) for students planning to participate in a CET semester program during fall, 2014 and spring, 2015. Up to five scholarships will be available each semester. Click here for more information about these Diversity Scholarships.
The Fund for Education Abroad
CET actively supports the Fund for Education Abroad. FEA provides grants and scholarships to US students to participate in high-quality, rigorous education abroad programs. FEA’s priorities include:
- Supporting students in programs in non-traditional destinations
- Supporting students in programs with a sustainable service-learning or volunteering component
- Supporting students that demonstrate financial need
- Supporting students who represent a group that is traditionally underrepresented in education abroad
