"Zima" - In Prague, I lived two blocks from Wenceslas Square, pictured here. On lucky days, I'd witness a scene like this on the way to class.

2nd Place: Colleen O’Connor (University of Pittsburgh, Fall 2010 CET/C.V. Starr Middlebury program in Kunming)

30th Anniversary, Alumni Photo Contest

"Yuanyang Rice Terraces at Sunrise - Southern Yunnan Province, China" - My CET resident director led a weekend excursion to southern Yunnan Province. Our last destination was the beautiful Hani minority rice terraces of Yuanyang, China. For most of the trip, there was a thick fog that covered the mountains, hiding the scenic views of the rice patties. On the last day, we decided as a group to wake up early to watch the sunrise. We crossed our fingers, hoping that there would not be any fog...and we arrived to the most spectacular sunrise I have ever seen. I will never forget this experience. Thank you CET!

3rd Place: Eric Foster-Moore (Colby College, JanTerm & Spring 2008 CET Intensive Chinese Language in Beijing)

"Untitled" - Looking up at the mountains from a village on the Jinsha.
